i used to use source sdk, around 5 months ago, took a break, and when i tried to load it today, it wouldent load.. i tried re dowlonding and still no go, help?

This has happened to me aswell even after reinstalling all of the games and tools that i use.

could it be some sort of update that has done this?

been looking on other forums and found this

(Step 1) go to Tools where u normally launch source SDK. Right click on the Source SDK and press on properties.

(Step 2) Then in the box there open up press at the button called "Set Launch Options..." Then a little box comes up where u can wright something in.

(step 3) Then delete the lines if theres something in it, in mine there was "-game" just delete that..

Then at last wright in the box: (-engine ep1)

Without the ( and ). Then press ok and all that, and launch Source SDK and it would work

i had a similar problem, some of the tools i used to read the .gcf files (gcfscape) permanently locked the files from the source sdk from reading them. after i uninstalled gfcscape it started working again
