Default Help making crosshair stand out more?

So i've changed my xhair scale to about 8000 but i'm having trouble finding a balance of alpha and which color to use that easily seeable on all surfaces?

I'm hoping one of you guys/gals can help.

Personally, I'm very against using tiny crosshairs. They're difficult to see, and in my opinion, they don't allow you to have a natural feel. Having to line up your crosshair perfectly with the enemy = consumption of focus/brain power, which could otherwise be used for other things in game.

I use a 400 xhair scale, and I always reccommend my clan members to use a crosshairscale lower than 1000. I feel that it's much more natural to have a larger crosshair, and being able to just sweep your crosshair over an enemies head, and fire when you think it's centered, is much easier than using a tiny crosshair and struggling to line it up perfectly ( Keep in mind, bullets stray, they're not always on target, so your bullet's hitzone should never be larger than your crosshair ).

Anyway, if that means nothing to you, I know HDR can really screw with lighting ( ie. de_dust w/hdr; you won't be able to see your crosshair for crap ), so if you have that on, try disabling it and see if that helps.

I'm actually very against this, but I encountered a white crosshair that's visible on almost any surface. It's not CAL legal, however, so be wary of that. If you're interested ( Don't be interested, it's the easy way out zomg! Practice with a larger scale!), you can PM me, and I'll give you a link.

I've noticed an improvement with a smaller xhair. But i still have it so recoil can be seen.

When Source first came out, I was shocked that you can play with your xhair scale, thought it was awesome, so I made it tiny (9999) at first, and notice an improvement as well, but when I changed it to a larger one, and switched my style and thinking a bit, I notice a dramatic increase in headshots + kills in general.

Do you want to get rid of the crosshair movement? If you do, type "cl_dynamiccrosshair 0" to remove it.

Well, I suggest once you've peaked at your small crosshair scale, try switching it back up to a big one, just to see. Jus' trying to help! 90% of the people I recommend this to admit that they are better that way.

Also, how long have you been playing?

I kinda take my xhair scale to the extreme.. I use 400 lol. I'd say use anything lower than 1000.. work on centering enemies more naturally, after a while, everyone I told this to improved a bit. When changing up settings in CS:S, obviously it takes some adjustment, but I promise it'll pay off for you.

Also, about the "switch your mouse sens", that makes no sense!

400 is a bit extreme. I'll try something lower and see how i go. I'll update here so any other people can see.
