A Guide for New Players!

Hi I'm Element [Fire] or Surim and if you just bought CS:S this is the basic of the game.
If you have never played a FPS before you should stick with a created game with bots on easy. This should teach you how to aim and react to enemy fire. Once ready just join a server and see what you got with Players.
While playing you have to buy weapons at the beginning of the round. To go to the weapons menu click B. You can use your mouse and click on things to buy, but the bad side of this is that it's too long. Another way is to use Auto Buy or the S,D,W,F to buy a set with weapons, grenaded, kevlar, etc. You can change what weapons you want to use by buying the weapons you need and clicking save over the set.
For many new players, alot of people shoot their guns randomly without precise aim and hoping for the opponent to die. This is called Spray N, Pray and probably won't work if you're facing a pro player. This is why you should practice aiming at the body or somewhere better is the head for a Headshot. A damage a weapon does depends.
Learn the map. I always look at other players in the radar and see where they stop and wait for the enemy or strategy. Use walls or run into somewhere you enemy can't hit you so your safe.
Once you get used to the game, try different tactics and change your option to a matched desire.
