Default Short, Long..What are these?

I like to play de_dust2 a lot, I've only had the game for 2 weeks.
What do people mean when on the voice chat when they say long A, or mid B, or something like that? And this isn't only with DD2, some other maps.

It's the path they take in order to get to the bomb. They have designated names. Just google it.

Long A is the long strip between the T spawn and the bomb site. Short A, or Cat, is the other way around which is closer to the bombsite when you turn the corner.

I get it.
So when T's are going to A, they don't take the middle route but take the way to the right of the spawn. That is Long A, right?
When T's are going to A, they take the middle and go that way. That is Short A, right?
And when CT's say "Long" then they mean they've seen a T/T's going the long way, right?

Thanks for clearing this up.

like what they call it short is a faster way to bomb site A and long is the longer way to bombsite A both are very good ways to get to bombsite A and win with a good rush.
