how to record my game counter-strike is there way

when i play counter-strike i want to record the game to watch it at another time can i

If you want to make a *.dem file (demo) of you playing you can do one of these things:

1. Open your console "`" and type in record DEMONAME
where DEMONAME is your recordings name, you can find your recording at your counter-strike folder/cstrike directory.
(this way you will be recording only yourself from first person)
2. Open your HLTV located in your CS directory and in your HLTV console type record DEMONAME
(this will record the whole game, you will be able to see all the players from all views)

To watch it open up CS and in your console type viewdemo DEMONAME

(you will be able to load all the demos that are in the directory in which the demos were originally saved, if you moved them elsewhere, copy them back to where they were)

When you are in a server playing, open your console "`" and type
record DEMONAME

To stop recording type in your console
stop

To view your demo type in your console
viewdemo DEMONAME

If you are confused whit the HLTV, just go with the example above.
HLTV is just another way of doing it.
