How do you change the crosshairs for the guns??? I tried doing a search but kept getting nowhere.
Does anyone know a website that would help? Or a site where I can get the crosshairs with a quick explanation? I need a newbie explanation please... Thanks. |

crosshairs are sprites when it comes to sniper guns or the zoom guns like the aug or the sig
if you have a custom sprite it should come with a text file and go in the sprites folder w/in the cstrike folder for instance weapon_awp.txt it the \sprites directory may look something like: 14 // this is the first line in the txt file which basically indicates the number of lines that contain useful info in the file // 320x240 res filename x-pos y-pos x-size y-size weapon 320 w_awp 0 90 80 20 weapon_s 320 w_awp 0 110 80 20 ammo 320 w_awp 0 146 24 24 crosshair 320 crosshairs 24 0 24 24 autoaim 320 crosshairs 0 72 24 24 zoom 320 selfmade 0 0 256 256 zoom_autoaim 320 ch_sniper 0 0 256 256 // 640x480+ res filename x-pos y-pos x-size y-size weapon 640 w_awp 0 0 170 45 weapon_s 640 w_awp 0 45 170 45 ammo 640 w_awp 0 146 24 24 crosshair 640 crosshairs 24 0 24 24 autoaim 640 crosshairs 0 72 24 24 zoom 640 selfmade 0 0 256 256 zoom_autoaim 640 sniper_scope 0 0 256 256 ch_sniper, selfmade, w_awp, sniper_scope, and crosshairs are all sprite files with an extension ending in *.spr ch_sniper.spr is a default scope. w_awp is the picture of what weapon you are slecting, by that I mean if your primary weapon is an awp then when you press the 1 key to switch that w_awp sprite is what shows the picture of the awp in the upper left, or when you buy the awp the pic is displayed on the right screen breifly |

Well, at some point people were interested in learning. Is that not why the forum is here? I see useless bumps all the time I'm sure I've made a few in my day.
Mainly because I get tired myself when searching for info and find a topic of interest in any given forum w/ page after page of bad info and off the subject posts and don't find answers I'm looking for in reasonable time frames, and I was bored ![]() I won't waste any more of our precious time here explaining/bumping or other. funny how people seem to forget why the forum was here or why questions are asked. Perhaps moderators like yourself should remove/delete or close topics posted when or if they feel the question will never receive a legit response or ever be answered. That also leads me to say this, if you the average user or local admin to any forum are trying to respond to another persons question and don't really know that your response is fairly accurate then make sure we (the ones looking for a clue) understand that response is only your opinion or just don't post at all !!! Peace and bacon grease, poPPy |
