Hey guys
I want to instal the F2000 skin that replaces the AUG. I dont have steam...I don't know why, maybe beacause I downloaded CS from Ares. Anyway, I don't know where to put the .BMP files...those little pictures with textures. Since I don't have steam, each mod that I download has to have ONLY the v, w and p model files and sound files, which are the ones that I do know where tu copy. The coolest mods have the .bmp texture files... so I would be very grateful if anyone could teach me how to install this kind of files so I can enjoy some other mods. Thanks a lot Greetings from Peru Carlos |

Do you not have a weapons file? Sorry, I downloaded from Steam directly so I don't know about which files you have exactly or how it's different. However, it should be in the weapons folder... I think. =/

What files DO you have? =/
Can you take a screenshot of the files you have please? Here's how: Step 1: Press PrintScr (key next to F12 and scroll lock). This will take a picture of your whole screen. ![]() Step 2: Open up Paint and press Ctrl-V. This will paste the image you took a screenshot/ picture of. Step 3: Click on "File" and "Save as". This will save the file to a specific location such as desktop. However, it's usually found somewhere like: C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Pictures Step 4: Open TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting and click on "browse", find the picture at the path where you saved it then click on "Resize: Message Board". After that, click on "Upload Now". It will give you a link and you just get that one and you copy and paste it (ctrl-v or right click). That might help us see if there's a file where you can put it. Ooor you can wait to see if someone else can help you right away (I think this might be easier for you). |

When I download a skin... I copy the model files such as v_ak47 p_ak47 and w_ak47 to the model directory. Same thing for their sounds.
The IDEAL installation is to copy the hole downloaded file to the STEAM file (which I dont have...dont know why) located in my disk C. Now....when I download a file and if it comes with a .bmp file (like a scope or the textures of the new weapon) i dont know where to copy it. Thanks a lot for your interest and will to help. The forum doesnt let me post links until my 10th post |
