Hello,

Couple of questions. I know that this is probably a dumb question, but what is the difference between Ventrilo and public slots? I want to get a public server but don't really understand how it works to much; is it easy to learn to operate the server's controls? If I don't pay extra, will I not get the stats that pop up all the time? From the time that I order, about how long will it take me to be able to play on it?

Ventrilo is a voice over ip application. It allows you and your friends to communicate with your voices outside of the game. Some clans like it because it allows them to talk to one another during a match without the restrictions CS puts on voice comm.

Public slots refers to the Counter-Strike server itself. If a server is "public" it means that it is not required to have a password.

Well, some say it's easy, some say it's hard. We have lots of information on our web site to help you learn, and we'll do our best to educate you. I'm sure lots of people on this forum will agree that they new nothing when they purchased their server and we helped them quickly figure it out.

Mani-Mod in game stats or statsme are mods that you can install from your control panel for free. HLStatsX, which is a real time, detailed stats system that will be hosted on a web page for you cost $7.50/month.

Usually less than 2 minutes. Be sure to check your spam folder, welcome emails sometimes get trapped there.
