I just have a question, I'm looking to do private matches against other clans but I still want to have a public server. If I get a public server and simply put a password up will I still get the same performance as a private one or no?

Performance will not change by putting a password on your public server. If you purchase a public server you can password protect it at any time, which turns it into a private server.

ya. i would go with a public server. its basically the same thing as a private server, except other people can join when you want them too. The thing is, its a bit more expensive (like $4 more) depending on how many slots.

I like going for a private because its cheap! But if you have the money go for the public !!
Some server companies offer their private servers to be boosted and have high performance. But here at counter-strike.com our servers are all equally great quality.
