ok.. i am planning to get a server from here. but i need to know if i will be able to switch it from steam to a non steam server. becuase all my clan members play non steam... so please tell me.

Do you mean like 1.5? 1.6 and CSS are both on Steam from what I know.

Sorry, all the games are Steam, as far as I can tell from the ordering list.

ummm... i want to rent a cs 1.6 server, and i am wondering if i could change it to non steam.

All the H-L games run off Steam. IDK if CS.com has a non-Steam setup. I don't think they do. I don't think any of the major hosts do anything with Half-Life outside of Steam.

We aren't certain what you're referring to. Are you referring to non VAC? Steam is the login/account management portion to all of the Half Life games and various other non Valve games. We aren't aware of any way to host a "non steam" server because Steam manages whether or not you've paid for the game, which allows you to legally play online. Bypassing Steam would bypass the unique CD key requirement for login and would therefore not require you to have paid for the game.

If you're referring to VAC protection against hacking/cheating, yes we can remove VAC from the server, although we don't recommend it. Please clarify, and/or send an email to support@counter-strike.com

no not vac i mean non steam. its not the legal version of the game...
