lol - interesting method for new users...ask them to post in here to prove they're not a spam bot hhehe.
An intro - I go by Ender (yes I got it from the book, Ender's Game) and the GT in my name stands for GaimTheory, which is the company I work for. GaimTheory runs a website called PurePressure.com, which is aimed improving the online gaming experience. I'm here to post about an Ideazon sponsored CSS tournament where there's $1500 in winnings ($1000 of it is in cash). You'll see that post in a different sub forum though. Other than that I'll probably be letting you guys know about other CSS events we have, as we're just bringing CSS to our site. We've been supporting UT2004 and Q4 for a number of months now, and now we're ready to bring our full system automation to the CSS community. A little history about me: I'm a UT (UT1, UT2004) player at heart, specifically CTF. However I've dabbled in most popular games competitively at one point or another. Been spending a lot of time in CSS recently getting ready for our site to launch it, but have been very impressed by what I've found - I had a stereotypical view of the game before I really started playing it a lot, and now I can understand it a lot better. I've been competing in online video games since 2001, though I started online gaming with Warcraft II back in 95 or whatever. More about PurePressure: There's a lot I could say, but the best thing to do would be to check us out yourself: Purepressure.com - we have made a system that is totally automated: dynamic server creation, pickup games, scrims, tournaments, leaderboards - it's really quite sweet. We're still in beta mode though - so any feedback you could give us would be awesome. ![]() Hope to see you there! |
