Whats up people? New to the game and well just started our own server!

^^ I hope to see alot of people come and join us. Still getting used to the controls -_-"
But whats up with you all?

Oh small question, how do i get the server name to change.
Instead of saying Counter-Strike.com Source Server, when people search for it?

Btw our server IP is: 209.51.145.137:27015

Hi. Make sure to advertise your server in the "Clan Discussion" section.

I will. But i have to get to 10 posts first before i can post all my links.
Seems like a lame setting to have on a forum lol but oh well.
Keeps down on spamming i suppose.

Hi,

1- Go to: /cstrike/cfg/server.cfg
2- Under: // Server Name
hostname "Counter-Strike.com Source Server", change the title between " " (quotations) to whatever you want.
3- Click on save.
4- Change map or restart server.

P.S: I think the "10 posts before a link is allowed" thing is just their attempt at creating a larger community where people actually talk to each other.

No problem. Make sure you put it in "" though or the server probably won't come back up.

Yeah i understand. I'm having it reinstalled now due to the fact i added a damn zombie mod and i didn't want it.
Was putting in gungame and a small lagspike from 30 freaking people iming me, caused it to click zm. -_-"
And i didn't know how to remove it.

So now after it re installs i have to go through all the mods again. >.<

Edit:

And now as im attempting to do what u told me this is what it said when i tried to save the file:
server.cfg already exsists, do you want to replace it? I clicked yes then got this:
server this file is set to read only.
Try again with a different filename.
