I was stumbling around the Internet (not drunkenly, mind you) and I happened upon a media storage/player still in beta testing called Anywhere.fm (that's the webaddress as well)
Anyhow, I thought it was pretty cool. you can upload your mp3s and create an on line database of your media accessible with a login and password. Not only is it the perfect party tool, it can serve as a third party backup for your music. Right now, while it's in beta testing, you can upload as much as you wish, but eventually they're talking about separating into public and private accounts with storage limits. Jump on the bandwagon while you can!
