I was asking about the physical properties of the walls? Were they solid, the right size, could you see the right materials?

yes tey were always solid! and yes i could se the right materials! because in func_wall i can set the transparency and the default is solid (255)!

look one thing.. cant I have two scy boxes?? cause i have, but when i am teleported to the other one i can see the first one above me.. i mean waths left of it because the lower part of the map above is covered by null texture..

supposedly i fall from the map and fall through the sky,but actualy i am teleported to another skybox to have the sensation that i am in plain air falling.. do you understand?? but if i look above i can see the map

on my test map that doesnt happen..

You didn't set up your sky box right. Open a fresh hammer and go right to fiel>open>skybox.whatever it is for 1.6 . There should be a a skybox file to use to start a new map or use as an example in the base folder when you try to open a new file, at least it does for CS:S, IDK for sure about 1.6 but I would think they have some maps to play with preloaded.

hows that? didnt set it up right???? i make four walls o floor and a roof, and texture them with sky texture.. i have the sky texture in all faces.. i dont think that would be a problem..
that part of the open skybox i didnt get it.. i think i dont have any prefab of it...

In game are you seeing the whole skybox outside the map where the players are or just what's inside your map, like a copy?

i believe it's a problem about the second sky box.. because when i fall on it i can see the hole map above me.. i've puted that skybox above and beside the map and i'd always see the map!! .. if was above i would see the map from above.. like the skybox (the second one) was transparent!!!
