Default Valve Hammer Editor Confusing Problem

So I made my map and put it into .bsp but whenever I play it in-game its pitch black and impossible to see my buyzones and spawn point works and my crates are there I just cant see anything please can anyone help me.

Sounds like you need some light fixtures. If you haven't already, search the web for tutorials to help you out more.

No I fixed it i went to the entinity tool and I added the light entinity it lit the sucker right up thanks for the reply though its my first map that i ever got to really play I never got to compile it i didnt set it up correctly and I never could compile but I set it um right so its my first map that works. There are still some bugs but I can fix them just some dark spots that need to be fixed.

what works better than lighting, is if you have a sky, then put env_light in your map somewhere, and then it will create realistic shadows (and it compiles faster)

then, run your map and figure out where the darks spots are, and fill those with lights, so that you have less lights, and your map will compile faster, and be slightly smaller amount of mb's
