Ok. i have looked everywhere for a CLEAR tutorial on how to make strips on the ground that can give you boosts in speed. I found one on fpsbanana that was confusing as hell, so i decided to come and ask you guys if you could give me clear instructions on how to use the trigger_push entity correctly. I have a speedstrip in my map, but the weird thing is, that it only speeds u up on a certain part of it, and only one of them works.
i have a general understanding of how to do it, but i am totally thrown off as to how to choose the direction in which a person is pushed. i try to use the "Point At" thing, but nothing happens, so can someone tell me how to do it manually?

Okay, let me try to describe it the best I can. When you make your brush or strip as you call it, you texture it with the trigger tool. Make the strip or brush the size you want. The trigger will be invizable when you compile the map so dont wory if its bigger than you really need. Once you have the strip made and the trigger texture applied, now its time to tune it up. Now select the trigger so it is highlighted then hit ctrl t on the keyboard. This will bring up the Object Properties window. Under Class scroll down until you see trigger push, click on it. Now you have more options. Click on start disabled and make sure it is set at no. There is also Spped of push option. This is the speed you want to move. You will have to adjust that according to your likeing. I would start with about 350. More is faster. less is slower. Now Push Direction (pitch yall roll) is next. On the right side of Object Properites window ther is a black circle with a white line in it. This is the direction the push will be. If the line is pointing to the right, it will push right. You can put your pointer on the line and right click and hold it down and move the direction or just type it in above it. When you do this make sure you are looking at the Top 2D view to determine right from left. After you make these settings click apply and your done. Hope this helps.
