It also helps to have a hosted server, most people don't have their "server" at home with the right settings for HDR maps, or even non HDR maps so they never work right. I try testing maps on my home comp and it never looks right, and on my hosted server it's perfect.

I'm guessing you mean the Env_lightenviroment? If you put that into a regular room that's only, say, 250x250x128 then 2 isn't enough and 25 might not be depending on what material your room is skinned with. Also the color you pick for your light will make a big difference. I have a map with torch light, so it flickers and has a little more yellow, it's set to about 75 and with the stone wall I had to set it higher. The upper rooms, above ground, are only at 20-30 and white with walls skinned with a cream/light tan plaster. So you can see the skin and light color makes a huge difference.
