Damn, it's still not working.

I'll try deleting all the files I've downloaded from the DS folder. Then I will reinstall the server and install Mani as per the tutorial on page 1.

Sorry for the triple post, but I have tried reinstalling the server, and I have followed the instructions, and it STILL doesn't work.

Could it have something to do with the fact the version of Mani I am using is a Beta?

However, it (the server) seems to work when I don't have 'gameinfo.txt' marked as Read-Only.

It doesn't matter any more. Someone told me that mods don't work on SRCDS when you download it via Steam (which I did). So, I downloaded the stand-alone version and followed the tutorial.

Lo and behold, it works fine now! Thanks anyway for helping!

they are incorrect. i have a dedicated server with mani and metamod running smoothly. i cannot see why it wouldnt work for any1 else =|

Same here, mine work fine, but I use it for testing maps at home.

ok i followed that all to a T. i still get a unknown command when i type in admin. i read the read me file and it says something about the .vdf files. do i need to do something with that? i dont know what im doing wrong.

you need to make a vdf file. in the mani download, you should get a VDF Creator. just click that and follow its instructions
