Im trying to install maps, and i keep getting, "invalid bsp file" when i try to run them

???

re-download the map from fpsbanana.com and try again. AND check to make sure you're putting them in the right folder. using ftp is the easiest way to do it

I tried that, and still no luck, here is the error im getting when i try to switch to the map

Results:
CModelLoader::Map_IsValid: 'aim_ak-colt' is not a valid BSP file
changelevel failed: aim_ak-colt not found

im putting the map files under cstrike/maps

try by using ftp. thats how i do it. the thing is, that if you are putting them in C:\programfiles\valve\steam\<username>\steamapps\c strike\maps then you are only putting them onto YOUR computer, not on the server. you have to put them to the server, and like i said, you use ftp to do this. install an ftp program for free. just google ftp program

No, im useing ftp when i do it, not installing them on my comp, cmon now, you think im that big of a n00b

sorry. but if you are using ftp, then there is NO reason they WOULDNT be there. i cant help you any more, i guess
