Default clients.txt help

I created a clients.txt file and everything, went through the pain of uploading it via FTP and ensuring it was read only. Yet my server insists on using adminlist.txt instead. Do you guys know any fix for this?

Make it read-only then .rar and unrar it once it's in the server. That's what I do to mine (I had the same problem). Remember to delete your adminlist.txt also.

If your server hosting company is not CS.com (which offers the ability to unrar within the Control Panel), then you may want to shut down your server, delete adminlist.txt and then upload your clients.txt. After that, you may want to consider moving to counter-strike.com. Lol

CS.com makes the admin lists secure files so as to keep hackers from messing with your admin lists. Do as Heidy said, make it read only, then rar it, and load it. With the other host companies they do not go that far to secure your server so you can skip the read only part and rar part and just upload it.

Me and my buddy got it working. There's actually 4 files to delete, we were just deleting adminlist.txt and admingroups.txt

Everything seems to be working fine now. Although it was a pain to get it going.

On a side note: I do use CS.com as a provider, the support here is top notch. Be it on the forums or through support tickets.

Thanks much
