What League

Can someone explain all of the different official Counterstrike Leagues that are out there right now?

I've heard about
Major League Gaming
CAL
CPL
Global Gaming League

Are there any that I'm missing? Anything keeping people from playing in all leagues?

Which league has the best prizes?

What are entry fees, etc.

A response from anyone with experience would be appreciated.

Well CAL and CPL are both good at getting $$.. CPL is the best but.. you need a good amount of money to join into so if you cant fly anywhere CPL is out.

CAL is also a cost to get into but it takes a long time before you get your prize or money


I haven't heard of the others but, I am promoting a tournament that will give cash prizes at the end of the night of the tournament and a Free community .

Ok well there are TONS of leagues for CS:S

It depends what you want. I mean if your a HIGLY EXPERIENCED player and is venry good. The Something like CAL or CPL would best fit you. But you gotta pay moneya nd you have to have a team to play.

On the other hand if your not that great of a player and you just wanna do a fun league to see what its like then id suggest either TWL or OGL.

CAL = free amateur league. Great place to start
CPL = Owner of CAL, this is not a league. They just hold LANS every so often
CEVO = pay to play league. Better competition here, but it costs money and you can win money.
TWL = Ladder style league. Can sign up and start playing anytime. Another great place to start

OK well CPL isnt a league so cross tht off the list....And CEVO no one can get in except the pros so cross tht off the list....And CAL isnt a good place to start unless your a somewhat intermediate to good player......
