it is our first season, and wondering how do we set up a match for week 1?

Its a league for skilled teams, not individual players.

Your matches get set up for you, only the team leader / scheduler can decide when the match is played. To do this once your match is given to you go to 'my matches' then 'match comments' then discuss the time and date with the other team.
