CS:S help

so i just got cs:s
and it runs really slow
my computer meets the requirements
and i thought if i went to video and advanced and turned all graphics low then it'd run faster
but everytime i choose low and click ok , it just quits cs:s

any help please? i really want to play asap

What graphics card are you using? If it quits when you change the settings then it's probably that.

Well you first off dont have to have the greatest gpu card to run css
its esp in low settings now if you want it in high you gotta have a midrange card
i personally wouldnt recomend playing it without 1gb of ram
512mb will stress ur comp like a mofo unless u have a crazy proc
and instead of hitting ok try hitting apply then ok
and make sure you dont do this in game
it usually results in a lag spike for a few minutes or the game quites

well I have a problem the thing is when i am playin source will shut off just close down and error comes up sayin vertex error or sumthin. anybody no what i should do?

try doing a search on google for the error
most likely your not the first to have that error
