ok, so my friend got counter-strike 1.6
he goes into find servers and he gets this

LAN server restriceted to local clients

wtf is that? iv never seen it before, and my friend wants to play.
i know steam is not required to play online, is it?

ok, and now he dled steam and cs doesnt show up on his My Games list, in fact there are no games there at all. hes already installed CS
again, i havnt delt with this beofre so i dont know.

in his steam menu he has to activate the games on steam
go to games - activate a product on steam
games is on the toolbar at the top next to view and help

When you login to steam.. Steam will pop up. Go to games on the top, and activate ur product...
