changing tickrate for SRCDS

i am wondering how to change the tickrate for a source dedicated server. they are all automatically set to 33 tick, and i want to raise it. how can i do it?

In your srcds.exe, you need to add the following command:

-tickrate 100

You can make your tickrate anything between 1 and 100. Obviously, 33, 66, and 100 are the most common, but technically you can use anything you want.

hey how do i add the "-tickrate 100" to my srcds.exe?

Right click on your desktop (or wherever you want to start the server from), create a shortcut. For the location, put the location of the SRCDS.exe (e.g. C:\SRCDS.exe). Then to the end of that add -tickrate 100. So it would look like this: C:\SRCDS.exe -tickrate 100. Click Next, name it whatever you want, then click OK. Then you can double-click the shortcut and start the server with a tickrate of 100. You basically made the equivallent of typing in the DOS prompt C:\SRCDS.exe -tickrate 100.
