Can you? I wouldn't know.. I'm very newbish when it comes to CS and the programs around it.

That's another point you bring up though - when am I supposed to insert my CD-Key? All the other games I've bought ask it before the install even starts, but not CS

Download Steam. Open it up, and click on "Activate a product on Steam..." and then I believe you can download the game through Steam with your CD Key (not 100% sure, as I've never done it before).

I finally got around to downloading it yesterday and it worked beautifully!! Installed flawlessly and everything works great! thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!! loll

now I just need to find some 'easy' servers where I could learn the gameplay

hehe. find the "**** FREINDLY" servers. they will have words like "**** FRIENDLY" in their name
