Rcon Password

Hello. On of our people just bought a server from GameWarrior and they have provided us with all the necessary information. The server runs fine, I can access it through FTP, I have set admins, I am one. But we have a problem with the Rcon Password. The people at GameWarrior have provided us with Rcon: (XXXXX) and I'm assuming that this is the password. But when I try to change the map or anything it just says Bad rcon_password. I'm typing this 'rcon password (XXXXX) changelevel de_stadium_cz' and it gives me bad rcon_password.

I'm sure I'm missing something. Thanks for your help.

Type this in console:

rcon_password (XXXXX)
rcon changelevel de_stadium_cz

Make sure to hit enter after the first command. And remember, you have to put "rcon" without the quotes before each rcon command.

Alright thanks that solved one problem

But now I have a problem with banning and kicking

I'll do:

rcon_password (XXXXX)
rcon users
(Here I'll find the one I want to kick)
rcon kick#(number of player)

And nothing will happen.

I'm sure I'm missing something again.

Type in console:

rcon_password (XXXXX)
rcon kick STEAM_0:0:123456

Replacing the Steam ID with the one you want to kick.

Also, I would recommend looking into Admin Mods (the specific one depending on your version of CS). They are generally much easier to use than RCON.
