Mani, SourceMod, Eventscripts, or Other?

Since I've returned to the admin scene, I have noticed various new admin tools.
I previously used Mani, but now I wish to investigate alternatives.

What seems to be preferred these days? I don't want to use *too* much resources, but I want previous functionality. Oh, and the ability to switch from TWL/CAL to normal mode configs ingame is almost required.

I've looked at the current Mani, SourceMod, Eventscripts, and have even seen other tools such as Metamod and Mattie and hlstats.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

It would depend on the game your playing and what your needs are.

The main two admin mods are Mani and SourceMod... you will probably have to try both and decide for yourself.

Eventscripts isn't an admin mod, its a scripting addon, you won't find a better one. There newest version (ES2) added the ability to use python instead of just the ES scripting language. Both are rather easy to use if you have programming experience. IMO every sever should be running ES.
They have been developing an admin mod using it, its called eXtensible Admin (eXtensible Admin - Beta 0.7.0.322 (2008-06-09) - Mattie.Info Forums, I haven't tried it, so I can't really comment on it, but it looks promising.

HLStats is nice to have on any server, its pretty amazing the types of stats it keeps track of.
