Default I get a black screen when i boot up CS:S on my laptop. HELP!

i usually play CS on my desktop at home, but im overseas right now and decided to download CS onto my laptop. I got it and every time i try to load it up it gets to the loading screen with the CT and T in the background and then right when the menu loads it goes black. i can still use the menu because i can hear the clicking noise when i move my mouse over things like servers, friends, etc. I want to know how i can get it so it doesnt go black. ive already fooled around with the launch options and i'm afraid that i might have screwed something up. If any one knows how i can fix this problem, a post would be GREATLY appreciated. I need my CS fix!

I repeat, this is on my laptop, a crappy crappy laptop. despite this poor machine, i think it should still be able to launch and play CS.

Heres some basic stats

HP Compaq nx9010
Windows XP Professional Version 2002 w/ Service Pack 2
2.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 Processor
448 MB of RAM

Graphics card:

RADEON IGP 345M
Chip type: ATI RS200M
64 MB

And the current display mode on my computer is 1024 x 768

Again, any help on this issue would be GREATLY appreciated!

Your graphics card doesn't meet the minimum requirements

yeah but theres gotta be some way around it.. when i play on my desktop it tells me that i shouldnt run the game cause of my graphics card and i ignore the message and run it anyways and it works just fine.

Yes, but it says that because your specific graphics card isn't on their list of ones it has been tested on. Not because your desktop doesn't meet the requirements.

In the case of your laptop it doesn't meet the requirements, that message quite literally means the game won't run on your computer correctly unless it meets the requirements.

There is no work around other then upgrading your laptop (or just play the original cs until you are home)
