I am attempting to start a server running CS:S, but am running into a bit of a roadblock. The server runs, I'm able to join, and if I add things to the command line, they work, if I type things in the dedicated server window the command stick... but the problem is...
when I type "exec server.cfg" in the command line or in the server window once the server's running I get a "couldn't exec server.cfg." message! Why not?! Please help! |

do you HAVE a server.cfg ? and if you do, is it in the right spot?
if you dont have one, you need to make one Here once you make it, then save it to notepad as server.cfg MAKE SURE IT IS A CFG FILE, NOT A .TXT FILE WITH .CFG IN THE NAME. TO DO THIS, WHEN YOU SAVE, TYPE SERVER.CFG IN THE NAME, AND BELOW, WHERE IT SAYS FILE TYPE, PUT IT TO ALL FILES and once you have it, make sure it is in the cstrike/cfg directory
