.....um...........I am now creating a server,and i have played cs for a month or so (maybe 2 if you include my time at source...)but wtf is a vent server?and wtf is a teamspeak server?once again i ask of you not to flame me for my stupidness ;D thx....oh btw is a pub ,vent ,or teamspeak 2 server better?

Teamspeak and Ventrilo are voice communication software. They operate with server and client applications (just like game servers). People download the client software that will allow them to connect to the servers, which allows them to talk to others over an internet connection using microphones plugged into your computer.

As to which is better.... well thats disputed like PC's and Mac's.

It doesn't have to do with allowing your mic to work on your computer, that is what drivers do. It lets you use your mic to talk to other people. It make a connection between you and other people.
