does counter strike give me virus when i go to a room and it downloads files?

Shouldn't but if you download files from a server with infected files you can get a virus.

Servers have the ability to upload files to you when you join the server. I've personally never received a virus from a server nor have I heard of anyone else who did. However, it is possible.

Get a virus scanner and bring up a firewall or two (whatever comes with your computer) and you'll be fine.
