Lightbulb Trying to find a good monitor

so i'm trying to find a good flat screen monitor 19" under 200 dollars

i've seen a ton of them but i'm not monitor savy

i don't know any good companies or what the stats really mean

anyone out there recently bought a monitor that could shed a little light for me, or know a good one?

newegg.com will have some of the cheapest monitors with the best warranty you will find. Acer, ViewSonic, Sony, Samsung etc are going to be the best brands to buy. Find one under 200 with the lowest responce time

for the most part, monitors do the same thing...
just when u want to ramp up the resolution and refresh rates is when it gets pricy...

most monitors you can find around $200 will work really well over all
mine was about $200, and its still holding its ground 6 years later

occationally i find ads or in the classifieds in my local newspaper, try that and places that resell computer stuff (referbished, resale, new, used, etc)
