Talking Logitech MX 1000 with FireFox (back and forward buttons)

Hi Everyone,

I need some advice regarding my mouse and my browser. (firefox)
Actually I use a range of different browsers, but I noticed that with FireFox, the back and forward buttons on my mouse don't work. It works fine in Windows Explorer, Internet Exporer, Opera, etc...

The mouse basically has buttons on the side by the thumb which may be configured customly. I have it set to back and forward, which I think are the default settings. I'm so used to using these buttons to navigate through pages.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of hack/setting to make them work with FireFox?

All the best,
Antonie

Have you tried searching for an extension that might allow you to do this?

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/extensions/

Edit
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/677/

That allows the assigning of mouse buttons to navigation functions. Might work.
