Hi all, I am about to purchase dual LCDs and cant' decide between dual 19" or 17". I will be using them for web design and photo editing. I was looking at the Ultrasharps, and they both have native res of 1280 x 1024. So I guess they both display the same amount of content, the 19"s are just bigger? Is this a no brainer?? I guess the size difference is not that big, but i would like to here what you all would recommend. Thanks!

1280x1024 in a 17... that's kinda wierd... But being the price difference between a 19" and a 17" is usually $20-$50, I'd get a pair of GOOD 19" displays.
If you can link to the units in question, I can probably give you better feedback. The 'make or break' is the response time (8ms or faster), luminance (300cd/m2 or better) and contrast ratio (700:1 or better). You also want to see if the description says 16.2 million or 16.7 million colors. Something like this AG Nuevo is well suited if colorspace work (image intensive websites for example) are on your plate. Newegg.com - Once You Know, You Newegg While this Acer is more suited to gaming or video work due to it's higher response time, but at the cost of color reproduction. Newegg.com - Once You Know, You Newegg If you want cheap, well made and don't mind a little ghosting at the 8ms range: Newegg.com - Once You Know, You Newegg Like most cheap cheap LCD's though, that last one's black is, well... pretty far from black. That AG Nuevo up top does a fairly good black. |

Definently the 19". I originally bought one 19" and then 3 months later decided to get a 19" wide screen (never get a wide screen, btw) but just compared to my friends 17" its looks dinky in comparison. With monitors... larger is always better (assuming you can afford to spend a few extra bucks)
