I hired someone to help set up my MacBook Pro laptop, and I just discovered why phpMyAdmin previews at http://Geobop/phpMyAdmin - he installed it inside one of my websites.
So I'd first like to ask what the normal/default path for phpMyAdmin is. In other words, where should it be installed, and what URL should it preview at? Next, can I simply move the folder to the new location, or do I have to uninstall it, then install it again? Will I have to edit any files to make it preview where I want it to? I'm assuming it should preview at http://localhost/phpMyAdmin, or something like that. If so, I may have to first fix localhost, as localhost is currently displaying the home page of one of my websites. I understand it's supposed to display Apache's welcoming page. Sheesh! Thanks. |

You can just move the whole PhpMyAdmin directly to any directory that Apache can serve. You will need to modify the config.inc.php file and change the $cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] value to the new location.
