New CPU now CS:S won't work???

Ok i upgraded my P4 1.5 Ghz CPU to a P4 3.0Ghz and now when i got into css i can scroll through the menu just fine, where it shows find server, create server, etc, But when i try to join a server it's laggish and freezes for 20 seconds then skips then freezes again. I used the same gfx card with my old CPU so i'm not sure what the problem is. Maybe my CPU is too good for my gfx card? Or maybe my 300watt PSU isn't good enough to control the GPU and the new CPU? Please help!!!

... Yes, It's the PSU you might need at least 400 watt PSU
but first check if all the cables are in place,
Then check if you applied thermal cooling liquid to your new CPU

300wat should be ok.. i'd try check your bios and check cpu settings

If he's running a high end GFX card and a good CPU, then no, a 300watt PSU is not good. Also, if you do not supply your computer with good voltage, it could damage or even destroy it
