BEWARE SCAMS LIKE THIS! DO NOT GO TO THAT LINK AS IT IS ONE WHERE THEY STEAL YOUR ACCOUNT. Caboose has been banned and any other users that decide to try to scam our members will also be banned.

I edited the url so you can't get to it for your safety. Steam WILL NOT send you emails or links to prize sites asking for your log in, they already have that info. If you win a prize in the form of a new free game it will go to your account and be added to your "ready for download" list. If you get an email from Steam that you think is a scam, delete it. If you feel Steam is emailing you a promotion and want to get enrolled delete the email just in case and go to the Steam web site. If they are doing a promotion it will be in their site, not some foreign site.

    That is all.

    Hey all

I would just like to let all on this thread know that I own a group on Steam called Anti-Hackers.

If you want to join, get info on hacking, or anything else, then my little group has it all.

I have great amounts of experiance, from past happenings, that werent pretty.

I can offer advice on hacking in:

    Steam
    Runescape
    GuildWars
    MSN

    And many more.

There is a link below to the community group, if anyone would care to visit it, and perhaps even join it

    Steam Community :: Group :: Anti-Hackers!

Let's hope none of us get hacked ever again, after joining this group

    Thank you

Always check the website - some browsers can provide you with confirmation of the authenticity of the website

    UPDATE:

There are more scams out there. I just got this in my email today...

    "Hello,

Because of the spamming attempts, our database was compromised.
Many steam accounts are stolen by spammers.
We have to check our database for the stolen accounts.
You have one week to login from your usually ip and update your account.

After this time you will be warned again and all the unchecked accounts will be deleted.
    Please login here:

    http://steamcommunity.com/update.html

    Thank you for understanding!

    www.steamcommunity.com "

Windows says this about the site...

"This is a reported phishing website
    bitum.ro/images/rac/

Internet Explorer has determined that this is a reported phishing website. Phishing websites impersonate other sites and attempt to trick you into revealing personal or financial information.

We recommend that you close this web page and do not continue to this website."

I recommend you check ALL sites by going to the official steam site at steampowered.com and to no other site. If Steam has news and you need to see it they will post it in the news window when you load Steam or on the home page of their site.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR STEAM LOG IN INFO TO ANYONE, EVEN WEBSITES THAT SAY THEY NEED YOU TO LOG IN TO GET NEW PASSWORDS/USER NAMES. STEAM WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR LOG IN INFORMATION, THEY HAVE IT ALREADY.
