Why do people play cs 1.6 and other games?

I think CSS has really overtaken 1.6 at this point. Where I live there aren't many CS servers left.

1.6 is much better than source for competitive game play.

I can see why pubbers like source I guess.

looking for good competetion 1.6 is the bomb.
and cz is kinda good for practice

i started playing 1.6 because

1.) it's fun

2.) you need some stragety

3.)i love shooting games

4.)i cant get CZ or CSS on my comp (i hate my slow comp with not enough space >.>)

5.)my friend showed me it
