I started playing cs again some months ago and it all went fine untill today.
This morning i started my computer, entered CS 1.6 and tried to connect to a server. It immediately froze when saying "establishing network connection".

This is what i tried to fix it so far (which obviously didnt work):
Entering other servers.
Re-installing the game.
Re-installing all of steam.
Restarting my pc.
Roaming around this forum and google to find any help but nothing.

Can someone help me with this? Im using vista, and i know vista sucks major as*, but thats what i got.

What i dont want people telling me:
Downgrade to xp (obviously i want a solution to the problem asap, and i dont feel like buying XP)
Format my pc (again, obviously i want a solution now. Besides what would a format even change?)
Dont refer me to some thread on this forum or another forum which doesnt have a concrete solution to my problem.
Dont refer me to steams troubleshooting center, cuz the posts there never solves anything.

I know lots of people have had this problem and no one really had a solution, but i might aswell give it a try.

I was accused of a wall hack and then banned for 979797 minutes. I am here just to say i was not hacking and would love a chance to play in the server again as there arent many custom map servers (that are decent) left out there. I was doing pretty well but i still dont see how i could have been accused of a wall hack...just because i was doing really well. I can view the options in software mode. When I change the software mode to OpenGl mode, my menu text disappear. I can change to software with a trick and change D3D or OpenGL. The text only disappear in OpenGL

I've update my drivers and the letters still disappear in OpenGL.
