Thumbs down Customer Support.

I don't agree with all you people here saying how great the customer support is here.
Whenever I have had a problem with my server I have made a support ticket, and okay I got a reply every 30 minutes to an hour so that is fairly fast. Although, most of the time the replies where short and automated, like reinstall your server, we will back things up for you.

90% of the time reinstalling the server and replacing the configuration files and re-downloading the plugins does absolutely nothing because files don't go corrupt very often.
So when I ask for them to actually look into the problem and give me a real suggestion they usually don't and just insist on backing everything up and re-installing the server.

So here are my rants:
The speed of the responses - Well, with my previous company you would get a response in 5 - 15 minutes.
The quality of the responses - They don't know jack crap about half of the most commonly used plugins and they don't know how to fix any problems with them. Other companies I have been with look into the problem and look around on other sites to try to find a fix to this problem, then fix the problem for you and explain what the problem was, what they have done and what it will do.
The server connection - Alot of the time I receive packet loss or choke, my css rate settings are on default and I live 30 - 40 miles away from the server, I have 2mb broadband and once again, when I have been with previous companies I have not had this problem.
Server crashes - Sometimes for seemingly no reason at all the server will crash and will have to be restarted via the game panel, I don't know what this is but it could be something to do with the server being shared or the server operating system itself. ( Windows does crash alot I suppose hmm. )
The bloody control panel and my ftp access is down at the moment.

Here are the things I think are good about this company:

Automated mod installation
Automated Map Pack Installation, though it does not update the maplist.txt
The Command Line Changer
The price ( the only reason I am still here )
Automatic creation of a game-moniter.com status

That is my testimonial. You can disagree but I don't care.
I will be going back to my previous providers soon, the customer service there is 10x better and the price difference I think makes up for that.

I don't show that was the case in your support tickets at all. Reviewing your support tickets I see that we answered your questions, not only quickly, but we fixed your problems also. It seems that you caused problems with your server on many occassions that we needed to fix for you. Unless we take away control panel access for customers, they have the ability to install mods improperly or make other configuration changes that can cause serious problems with their server. Our only fault it that we give customers the ability to manage their servers with a powerful control panel and full ftp access.

I have to disagree with you Kat_Fish.

1. They obviously know how to install the game mods, because on my second server we asked them to install SRPG and DM. They installed it within minutes of my support ticket.
2. Their response seemed clear to me, maybe you're not understanding what they say very well.
3. If you're making configurations, make sure you not passing anything that says "/////DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING PAST HERE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING\\\\\ " or something like that, because if you do, you will MOST LIKELY screw your server up.
4. Wow, your connection... it doesn't COMPLETELY deal with your internet speed/distance from the server. It also deals with any interferences with your server port. It also deals with your computer, whether your computer has been on for a long time or a short time; downloading lots of things or not downloading a lot of things; using a music player or not using a media player, etc.
5. Server Crashes: Maybe because of you configurations you've made to your addons, that WILL cause crashes. Some mods do not work well with each other. Such as RPG and DeathMatch. (why we installed SRPG to my server instead).
6. Control panel down: Uhm was this when the DOS Attack on ATT happened? If so there's your reason why. Plus it could be down for you if they're adding any mods to the Quick Mod List, (such as GG4 when that arrived for counter-strike.com), or again the reasons that cause your computer stress, causing it to slow down.
7. At least reinstalling servers on counter-strike.com doesn't take as long as some providers out there, some providers take a good 10minutes - 1 hr to reinstall while counter-strike.com only take 1-3 minutes to reinstall from my experiences.
8. Plus new servers WILL have some lag problems when they are first made, only for the first couple of days.
9. Continuous messing with addons and asking for help from the admins for the same exact problem may result in the same answer until you get it through.

Haha shadowxxi, I don't think anyone can take you seriously because of the way you spell things, and the fact that you say STFU to the staff members. Maybe make the ticket more, I don't know, understandable? 'Cause the way I see it, you spell and ACT like a 10 year old, and by the looks of it, you could be. Counter-strike.com is helpful, they've responded to my tickets within minutes, reinstalled my servers within minutes, and installed the mods they don't have within minutes.
