Shadowxxi,
After seeing what you wrote here, I had to go see for myself what your ticket was all about. Unfortunately, your account name is different than your forum name, so I don't know who to look for. My guess based on the context of your posts is this: You installed and misconfigured some mod that broke your server. Pete told you that you broke your server and asked you if you wanted him to reinstall it. You said "WTF OMGZORS NO ITS YOURZ GUYS FAULTS" and that's where the ticket ends. Pete and our other support staff are probably more experienced with managing CS servers than anyone else on planet earth. I suggest you listen to them when they make a suggestion on how to fix your broken server - they really really really are trying to help you. Believe it or not, we love our customers! |

I was a devoted customer to Counter-strike.com for a very long time until I started my own server company as a hobby.
Unless you've done it, no one could ever possibly know how difficult running a game server company is. It's the most challenging undertaking I've ever made in my 43 years. Most of the problems game server providers like Counter-strike.com deal with are totally out of the company's control. Things like Valve or other company updates that break things, poorly written and incompatible third-party mods, server hardware provider problems and Internet and Datacenter glitches, client software and PC problems and on and on and on. The server Game server companies job is to provide a clean vanilla server to it's cusotmer that works perfectly when first set up. Start adding things like mods and maps that were never designed by the Game Server or original software company and that's when problems start. Now, expext the Game Server Provider to fix these and you can see the load it puts on them. Counter-strike.com is a "Game Server Provider" not a software or hardware company. They provide game servers and it's up to you to run your own server. They have a devoted staff that truly cares about there customers. They respond quickly to the supports tickets of clients and if a client is patient and willing to work with the staff, in time, most issues, even though they are not their problem. will be fixed. If they aren't, it's simply because some things with game servers will just never be right and they can do nothing to resolve them. If I were to ever go back to a server hosted by another company, I will come back Counter-strike.com in a heartbeat. Good job guys.
