Screen Went Blank When Starting Cs

no idea what's wrong with it .. when i tried to start CS source, the first thing i saw was the loading page, and after that the screen went blank. however, when i moved the mouse around, i could hear the sound when u touch the icons. that means that the game is still running, but somehow the page could not be seen. please help, thx

ive had this problem as well...

what i did is i uninstalled all my video card drivers, then restart comp and re-installed them

Ive also had the same problem. right click on css click on properties, tehn on launch options add -console -window once your in the game goto video settings and switch it to full screen

Does the screen go black, or completely off?

If it's completely off, then it would be the monitor settings, such as the refresh rate themselves.

I have exact problem with me and I either misspelled the launch thing or it still didn't work with me....have to tell me what to do about the video cards because I have excellent graphic cards but I know I have video cards because I play WoW and Guild Wars and its runs just fine.

Can you or anyone tell me step by step and exact wording to use if needed?.
This is what I get everytime I try to play. I just go on and see loading screen but after loading screen black screen and hear mouse thing hitting things in the main screen.
