sorry just been away a long time.. is counterstrike and counterstrike source the same?

2. which one do most people play?

3. i just installed from cd counterstrike so does that mean i can have source or do i need to buy that?

no, they are two different games and yes you have to buy counter-strike source to play it.

people play them both, but you might see some peps perfer one game over the other

Counterstrike Source is a newer version and it probably has the best graphics out of the other Counterstrikes.
