PLEASE! PLEASE! Help me.

Hey everyone, I'm not gonna make this a long read for you...

I have counter strike source and use to play last year on my steam account with no problems.

One year went by, i reformatted my computer, uninstalled the game, and now i want to get back on it.

problem is, it says that the CD-KEY i use now (Same one) has already been in use, but i can't remember the email or the account name i used to activate it in the first place..

PLEase tell me what i should do!!

You'll need to have Steam installed on the computer so you can get to the Log-in box.

I already tried that step, but if i don't remember the email i used; how will they give me my new reset info?


I don't remember Account name/Password/Email.

All i have is:

CD 1,2,3,4 / CD-Key / and the Box the game came with.

Contach Steam tech support and they will walk you though the recovery process.

recovery process usually requires you to mail a copy of the cd-key and your receipt that you used to buy the game. i don't know if you still have the receipt..., but if not, you might as well buy a new one

They will most likely ask you to send them a picture of the CDs along with some text on it.

So you might need a camera or a scanner.

Either way, its a Steam issue.
