Map, texture, sound errors

Ok so this is my first real forum post ever but ive given up on googling to solve the problem. My problem is that when I try to join a server in CSS the box appears that says its loading then it quickly dissapeares and spits me out to the menu. So i tried doing a create server to play with bots and it loads the map fine but when i get in it stalls for a minute or two then when i can select teams i can do that fine but there is no more sound in the game only a few random sounds like running in water or a few others. Then i noticed that i can only see in whatever room or area that im in the next room it looks like im looking outside the map. Also the buy menu jas purple and black squares replacing all the icons. So when i leave the game and go back to the main menu i can see the options but when i click on them i can only see some text in the top left of the sub-menus. I have pics and i think i attached them correctly. I used GCFscape to delete everything source related, half-life 2, and counter-strike source related stuff and re-downloaded them from steam but still have the problem. My specs are

Video Card 8800 GTX OC2
RAM 4 Gb Corsair Dominator
Mother Board EVGA NF68 T1
OS Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit
