Question Counter Strike Port Issue

Greetings all,

I have recently set up my own counter strike dedicated server yet my friends can't see my server, and i found out that i have to froward my ports. Anyway, since i use d link, i went to their port forwarding page...

"Name": wrote hlds.

"Ip address": wrote my ip address of course.

Yet I am having a problem with what they mean by public and private port:

Public Port
______~______

Private Port

______~______

All I know is that when i start my dedicated server it says UDP PORT: 27015.

For "traffic type" it has the options UDP, TCP, or any. Should i put any?

So what should i do?

Are you saying that i should add 27015 in those four blanks and pick UDP as traffic type?

It seems like you have an sv_lan issue.

Type this in console when your server is up: sv_lan 0

Basically, sv_lan 1 should only be used for LAN parties but for some reason, every time someone makes a dedicated server on their computer, it is defaulted to sv_lan 1, not 0.

That SHOULD work. Reply if it does not and I'll try to search on Steam's forums for a suggestion ("try" being keyword 'cause their forums are impossible to navigate most of the time - at least for me!)

That's not the problem, i already changed it form 1 to 0. The thing is me and my bro can play (wirless of course) but my friends cannot connect. I'm sure i have to forward the ports but i dont know what i have to add to those blank lines ^^^....
