Default Establishing Network Problem...

well i jus got cs 1.6
i have windows vista home basic
and whenever i join a game, it loads 3 bars and says "Establishing network connection to server..." and freezes there
i searched almost EVERYWHERE but i couldnt find the answer
i also did all the stuff i know and what ppl told me but still doesnt work
for some reason i only does that to old versions of games like cs 1.6, dod while css and dods works just fine

plz answer my question!!!

its been like 5~6 days since i got cs 1.6 and no solution!

I have the same problem i do also have vista and i really dont know what to do please answer if someone know.

edit: I have tried wiered, wireless, with nfirewall ad without fiewall it all dosent matter.

Vista hates Steam, wait for a fix from Steam or LEGALLY downgrade to XP. The Steam engine was not made to work 100% with Vista and Steam is not releasing a fix anytime soon, from what they are saying, as a very small fraction of Vista users are having problems.
