PLEASE help on death match and problem with weapons

hi

im new to cs, however, ive learnt all the buttons etc.

On the death match mode though i cannot select my weapons for some reason.

ive tried everything, ive typed guns, ive got the 123 screen etc.

whenever i press 1 though nothing happens, i do not get the pistol list etc. 2 works and so does 3 but pressing 1 for new weapons does nothing

any ideas what is wrong? please help ive deleted and reinstalled but it still doesnt work

Might just be the server your on or does this happen opn all death match servers also make sure you have a button bound to 1 if not then thats your problem.
