Ok ok, try this, you need to delete your cstrike folder for CSS. This will not harm yoru computer ro anything, just will delete your custom map downloads, admin plugin downloads, and any downloaded skins. All this can be added back.

Start, My Computer, C: Drive, Program Files, Steam, Steam apps, (steam username), counter-strike source.

Then just delete your cstrike folder.

This should help this problem. Please let me know how it turned out!

its between 170 and 190...it never changes...i tried both other things u posted and none worked do u know any other way to lower it

perhaps you are joining servers that are too far away
